Welcome! I am glad to showcase a collection of photos and excerpts from my field journal entries.

If you would like to create a field journal alongside me, you can follow the guide on the left on what material to include. Most importantly, however, a field journal can be as unique to you as you would like it to be! Digital formats are widely accessible, however hand-written journals are timeless and offers greater freedom of illustration. For example journaling illustrations, see a collection by Alex Boon, nature journaling illustrator, in our Virtual Gallery.

All of my images were captured via Canon T6 Rebel (macro- and standard lens combinations) or via iPhone 11.

A lichen is an organism that is composed of a symbiotic relationship between a fungus and an alga. This organism can be found in a variety of habitats, from rocks, to trees, to soil. Lichens provide food and shelter for many species of animals, including birds, insects, and small mammals. They can also help in the breakdown of pollutants in the environment.
